I love yoga! My practice and the transformative journey began in 2013 after I had my last baby at age 43. Finding a yoga practice was what I needed to complete my life. After being married for 22+ years and a mother of 8 children, yoga brought clarity to my mind, peace to my heart, and improved health to my body. I found a personal transformation in my life that I needed to help me cope and deal with all the challenges, stress, trials, and tribulations that life presents to my family and me. I have a Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s degree in counseling from The University of Akron. I completed my RYT-200 at Yoga Bliss. It was one of the best decisions of my life. I love being able to share all that yoga has taught me and continues to teach me, with my students.
I draw inspiration in my life from God, family, and yoga and feel complete and whole from focusing on the mind, body, and spirit. Yoga is truly a “Work in, Not a Work out.” I know I can come to my mat and take rigorous self-responsibility, clear my mind, and stretch and strengthen my body by flowing with breath through the asanas. I love heart openers; we can open up and create more space in our front bodies through heart openers. When we create more space for our heart, we can feel more love, more kindness, and more patience towards ourselves and towards those we love.
Breathe. The breath is so important and powerful. I love to teach by focusing on the breath and moving mindfully on your yoga mat. We can flow through each yoga asana one breath at a time. Moving mindfully from one pose to the next turns your focus inward, moving into a beautiful yoga pose that fits your body. “Everybody is different and unique, but, Yoga is for Every Body.”
