I am a wife, stepmother of three children, and an elementary educator with over 20 years of experience. I love to spend time with my family/friends, read, shop, and practice yoga!
I am an RYT-200, receiving my teaching certification from Yoga Bliss under the guidance of Tracy Rhinehart. I am inspired daily by my parents, my family at home, and the entire teaching staff at Yoga Bliss. My favorite poses include Supta Baddha Konasana (Reclined Bound Angle) and Ardha Chandrasana (Balancing Half Moon). I enjoy Supta Baddha Konasana because it is a great stress reliever and a pose I like to use at the beginning of my practice to settle into my mat. I also enjoy Ardha Chandrasana, because, for me, balance requires my complete focus and attention and brings me to the present moment!
My teaching style is fun, freeing, and supportive. I always encourage my students to modify where needed and offer many different options for coming into the pose. That is what I like so much about yoga; all you have to do is show up! There is no judgment and no expectation. I teach all types of classes, with my current favorite being Restorative, because Restorative poses are so versatile and useful as part of Integration or Deep Rest for many different kinds of classes. You can also find me subbing Slow Flow, Power Basics, or All Levels!
