My yoga journey began 7 years ago in high school. In the beginning, it was another workout to add to my week until I really started to become interested in the philosophy of yoga. Once I graduated college, I knew I wanted to take my practice deeper. I enrolled in TT here at Yoga Bliss. Yoga has helped me slow down and find balance in life. It has shown me to enjoy and trust this crazy journey of life. If I don't practice each week I can feel my mental and physical body start to shift and become more stressed, anxious, etc. Yoga keeps me sane!
My goal is to create a space where all my students can recharge and escape the day to day. When my students take my class I hope they feel loved, empowered, strong, and safe. My style is influenced by Baron Baptiste, I love to hold asanas longer in my classes to really challenge the physical and mental body. This helps create body awareness, centers attention, and creates mental clarity. I also will always make time for inversions! :)
The support from teachers and the community is what I love most about YB. There is always someone to laugh, cry, and sweat with. Outside of yoga, I am very passionate about living a healthy lifestyle - you can find me in the CVNP kayaking, biking, or hiking with my German Shepherd, Moose. I also love exploring new cities and countries!
