E-RYT 200, RYT 500, Certified Thai Massage Practitioner

Nickname: Mom, Miss Tracy, Triss

Favorite food: Sushi Favorite place: “Back-The-Lake”…it’s my family’s private property deep in the woods. G-d lives there.

Guilty pleasure: Lying in the hot sun all oiled up, Michael Franti on the ipod, an ice cold drink and a good book

Hobbies: Reading, cycling/Spinning, hanging out with Aaron and Leah, watching Bill cook and walking Tazo.

Who do you most admire and why? Ordinary people doing ordinary things with extraordinary love…like a patient mother, an attentive father, a friendly teenager helping a stranger. I find myself stopping to watch.

What is your favorite yoga pose and why? I love many poses but frog pose is by far the most powerful. It has healed me and it keeps me clean and free.

When did you start practicing yoga? I first practiced yoga eleven years ago with videos in my home. At that time, I had only enough money to buy one video a month. I started with a Kathy Smith power yoga VHS tape! I began practicing ‘real’ yoga at Cleveland Yoga (then Strong, Stretched and Centered) in 2002.

Who are your teachers and where did you train? I have been blessed by so many wonderful teachers! I completed the 200 hour teacher training with Tami Schneider at Cleveland Yoga in 2010 and my 500 hour certificate with Jennifer Langsdale at Awaken Yoga in 2013.  In addition, I have gained knowledge and inspiration from Ted Lardner, Diana Vitantonio, Parker Bean, Marni Task, Laura LaRosa, Shiva Rea, Jonny Kest, Girish, Michael Cohen and Baron Baptiste. And, having studied with Sarah Cheiky, I am a certified Thai Massage Practioner trained in the Shivagakompaj Tradition. I am certified in Body Wisdom, an exciting therapeutic practice utilizing our chakra system to access the body’s healing potential, as well as being a Certified Children's Yoga Teacher through Rainbow Yoga. I am on the Teacher Training team at Yoga Bliss and am proud to serve as the 2014-2015 ambassador for lululemon's Akron showroom. Mostly, I am deeply grateful for all of the yogis and yoginis who courageously step onto their mats……my parents, Aaron, Leah, Bill and Tazo….all have taught me so much about life and love and yoga.

Describe your teaching style: Challenging and compassionate. Empowering and supportive.

What is your motto: Om Namah Shivaya….life is pure potential!
