About me

I grew up in upstate New York and miss the mountains every day! While I love Ohio, my absolute favorite place in the world is Lake Bomoseen, Vermont, where I spent my childhood summers swimming and water skiing. When I'm not on the mat, I love to play tennis, hike, and work out in the yard.

I am a fairly new yogi, having started a little over three years ago. I find that my body truly needs yoga after years of high school and college athletics, tennis, and running—it is the practice that makes me feel strong.

I really like to mix it up with different classes... it always keeps me on my toes! My favorite pose is Half Moon (Ardha Chandrasana). I actually looked up its meaning to help explain why: the definition I found was, "this pose taps into the calm balancing energy of the moon and the fiery force of the sun." To me, that sounds like the perfect pose!
